Authentic Post Office Banks
About our Banks:
Each bank we build starts with an authentic door, rescued from a historic post office before it's lost for good. We carefully clean and process the original mechanism, working through the combination and hardware to bring it back to full working order.
From there, the door gets a custom-built dovetailed box to call home. Each bank is crafted, stained, and finished entirely by hand in our woodshop. Every box is one of a kind, and we offer several signature styles to choose from:

Classic Wood — built from a wide selection of wood species, from local favorites to rare woods sourced from around the world

Peacock — hand-painted designs featuring a unique pop of color

Wicked — featuring a striking electrocuted (Lichtenberg) wood pattern burned directly into the box

Infinity — a flowing combination of resin and wood for a one-of-a-kind look

River — crafted from live edge wood and epoxy, capturing the natural shape of the tree

White Wash — finished in a clean, soft white for a more modern look

Inlay — two types of wood combined to create a detailed design within the grain itself
Every bank is completely unique, each one varying in number and style. Our Deluxe banks also feature a coin slot of our own design, patented and trademarked exclusively by Robinson's Custom Woodworking, and found nowhere else.
No matter the style, the result is a one-of-a-kind piece that's as functional as it is historic — a genuine antique mechanism preserved and built to last another lifetime. Every bank is handcrafted from start to finish by our family, ensuring the same quality and attention to detail that's defined our work for over 30 years.
